The Bunkerville Roundtable sponsored by Prince of Peace Council #9899 was authorized on 10/13/03. Our Roundtable had twenty (20) members belonging to La Virgin de Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Clarence J. Savial supporting our formation. The First meeting was held on Nov 12, 2003. There were eleven (11) Brother Knight’s in attendance with Jim McCluskey, Roundtable Coordinator, and Jim Courtney as Recorder. The first project had already been completed and that was installing new kneeler’s on the pews at Church.
Many Activities were accomplished over the next 19 months with the major one being the obtaining and installing of the first Retired Flag Receptacle in
We were organized as the Mesquite Council #13754 on April 1, 2005 with a Charter Membership of Thirty Four (34) members. The Roundtable and now the Mesquite Council has consistently had over a 50% attendance rate at it’s meetings since being organized as a Roundtable in Oct 2003 to the present time, even though, the membership includes a large number of snowbirds and Brother’s that have moved. We now number forty three (43) members with three (3) candidates waiting to be installed as 1st Degree Knights for a Total of forty six (46) members.
Since being formed as a Council, we will have conducted over forty three (43) Activities in our Fraternal Year of July 2005 to June 2006. All practicing Catholic men are encouraged to join our growing and active Mesquite Council. Call Jim: 702-346-2436 for information.
